Courtney Stewart is a Licensed Professional Counselor who finds it a true privilege to walk with individuals and families through difficult and painful places as they seek healing, wholeness, and hope. Courtney specializes in working with those who have experienced trauma and abuse, and is trained in EMDR therapy. EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a leading treatment for post-traumatic stress. 

 

Courtney is also passionate about her work with children and believes in the power of play therapy as well as supporting families with insight and tools to help continue their child’s growth and healing. 

 

Courtney received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health from Denver Seminary and her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Texas A&M University.

As a retired Air Force Veteran with 20 years of service, Shawn gained firsthand insight into the special challenges faced by our nation's service members.

Zach received his bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies from Abilene Christian University in 2016. He then served as a student pastor for the next four years while finishing his master’s degree and making the transition to therapy. During those four years in ministry, he was able to develop relationships with students and families walking through a variety of life circumstances.

Zach has always had a heart for students and families and working with them to repair broken bridges of communication. Families are awesome, but every member of the family experiences things in a unique way. This can be chaotic, or it can be reframed to reflect the beauty of God’s creation. Zach also enjoys working with couples, especially couples that are engaged and looking forward to building a life together. Lindsey Hawkins, PhD, LMFT

Lindsey Hawkins received her Doctorate degree in Couple, Marriage, and Family Therapy from Texas Tech University and her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University. Lindsey is licensed in the State of Texas as a Marriage and Family Therapist. 

In addition to her part-time work at A&M Christian Counseling Center, Lindsey is an assistant professor in the human development and family sciences department at Northwester Illinois University. Lindsey's research agenda and clinical practice focuses on helping individuals, couples, and families navigate traumatic experiences and find healing.

Mark is a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (#204063) working under the supervision of Shaun Burrow, PhD, LMFT-Supervisor (#201019). Mark received his MA-MFT from Amridge University and has a MSL from Trident University, BSBA from Franklin University, and an AAS from Central Texas College. 

Mark is a retired Command Sergeant Major in the Army with a large array of assignments and operational experiences. These experiences have shaped his perspective on life, relationships, business, and the pursuit of happiness. His passion is helping individuals, couples, and families find balance, mutual respect, thriving relationships, and long-lasting happiness. Mark's clinical interests include the military/veteran community, relationship issues, issues of infidelity, PTSD, and family harmony. He believes we are all capable of healing from negative experiences and can learn to thrive in life and relationships.

Joy is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at Liberty University. She is currently in her practicum under the supervision of Dr. Shaun Burrow, the clinical director of A&M Christian Counseling Center.

 

Joy’s treatment interests include anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, trauma, adjustment phase of life issues, and sexual addictions. Joy enjoys working with individuals, couples, and adolescents. Joy aligns herself with a person-centered counseling theory and incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and mindfulness practices in counseling.
