Ashton received her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University and her B.S. in Psychology from Texas A&M University. She is licensed to practice in Texas under the supervision of Shaun Burrow, PhD, LPC-Supevisor (#63973).
Ashton is passionate about helping couples in step-family conflict regain intimacy and control within their family. Her approach consists of bridging gaps in communication, identifying problematic patterns, and assisting clients in problem solving and breaking through these patterns.
Ashton’s approach focuses primarily on strengthening the marital relationship, and empowering the couple to parent in a way that serves their family values. Once accomplished, the focus moves to strengthening the relationship between parents/children, and ultimately creating the desired outcome of a healthy family dynamic.
